Students Charged Following Lakewood HS Brawl

Sumter, S.C. (WOLO)–Eight students are facing charges after video of a high school fight went viral.

Thursday the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office announced the students, ranging in age from 17-19, are charged with disturbing schools.

Numerous videos of the February 20th fight at Lakewood High School were posted to social media sites.

In addition to the charges, Sheriff Anthony Dennis says none of the students will be allowed back on school property.
