Midlands Trooper Becomes First Female ‘Trooper of The Year’ in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)-For the first time ever a female trooper was recognized as trooper of the year by the Highway Patrol.

The honor took place at the South Carolina Department of Public Safety headquarters on Monday. Trooper Stevi Price, is with troop one, which is in Richland County.

She was recognized for her help in saving the life of a motorist.

Thus is the 50th year for the trooper of the year awards in South Carolina.
