Gamecock pitcher dismissed from team

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A member of the Gamecocks pitching staff is leaving the team, according to an official with the school.

The sophomore righty out of Latta High School was dismissed from the program because of academic issues, according to a source close to the team.

Lee pitched in just two games this year, allowing four runs in 1 1/3 innings.
