Hawaii family loses everything in volcano

Kilauea, HI (WOLO) —  The volcano that’s erupted in Hawaii has left many families there holding onto each other for strength and support as they see the destruction that volcano has left behind. In fact, officials report that more than two dozen homes in Hawaii have been destroyed by lava after the big island’s Kilauea
volcano erupted Thursday.

An Elementary school teacher says her home was among those lost and now she’s struggling with how to tell her two young children. Lisa Kubota brings us her story.
