Sheheen introduces bill to lower college tuition

Columbia, SC (WOLO) —-One State Lawmaker wants to make higher education more affordable for South Carolina residents and is taking action to do just that.

Tuesday morning Senator Vincent Sheheen introduced a bill he says will create a partnership with State Colleges and Universities. Sheheen says the measure will focus on tuition freezes and reward those who opt for in State enrollment.

Senator Sheheen says although introducing this bill now will make it impossible for a vote this session, he says it will still give lawmakers plenty of time to tweak the measure.
