COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Governor Henry McMaster suspended Fifth Circuit Court Solicitor Dan Johnson on Wednesday.

Johnson was indicted Tuesday on charges of fraud and theft of government funds.

Johnson lost a bid for re-election back in the June Primary.

The Governor’s office said Deputy Attorney General Heather Weiss will serve in Johnson’s place.
