Update: Lexington police arrest suspected gunman in Roberts Street shooting

Lexington, SC (WOLO) —- Lexington County Police say they’ve arrested the gunman involved in the Roberts Street shooting Wednesday.

Officers say Christian Williams, 18, was captured today at 12:40 a.m., on South Lake Drive near Industrial Blvd. without incident.

Authorities say on October 17th at approximately 6:20 p.m., Williams shot a man at 301 Roberts Street at Town and Country Apartments.

Officials say the victim was transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Williams was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center.

He was served warrants for Assault and Battery – High and Aggravated, Child Endangerment, Discharging a Firearm within Town Limits and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Violent Crime.
