Car chase in Newberry Co. ends in arrest

Newberry, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies in Newberry County say a suspect is in custody after an early morning high-speed chase.

Investigators say Demetrius Epps fled from a checkpoint after deputies smelled marijuana coming from his car.

According to authorities the chase lasted about 15 minutes before they were able to flatten his tires.
