Lexington, S.C. (WOLO) – River Bluff looked to clinch second place in Region 5-5A with a road victory against crosstown rival Lexington Thursday night.
The Gators capitalized on early mistakes and turnovers by the Wildcats to jump out to an early lead and never looked back, ultimately winning 35-21 win.
The victory was River Bluff’s first over Lexington in school history and it also earned them their first-ever home playoff game in two weeks.
River Bluff (8-1, 3-1) will travel to Irmo next week, while Lexington (5-4, 2-2) will head to Batesburg-Leesville.
