RCSD will have random traffic safety checkpoints this month after deadly 2018

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – The Richland County Sheriff’s Department will conduct random traffic safety checkpoints during the month of January.
They hope to curb the amount of deadly accidents in the county this year.
In 2018, RCSD reports that 45 people were killed in car accidents in the county.
