Unattended pot causes Columbia house fire, $45K in damages

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)-A family of four has been displaced after a house fire in Columbia.

Crews arrived to the home in the 700 block of Dixie Avenue after 12:30p.m. on Sunday.

Fire officials say an unattended pot on a stove caused the fire.

No one was injured, however two adults and two children have been displaced.

The fire caused about $45,000 in damages.
