February SNAP benefits will be distributed early

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Those receiving snap benefits will receive February assistance early because of the government shutdown.

Tuesday the Department of Social Services announced those participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP will receive their February benefits this Thursday Jan. 17th.

A spokesperson for the department says the move will impact more than 230,000 South Carolina Households.
