SC House Speaker propose new bill that helps improve education in the state and benefit teachers

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – House Speaker Jay Lucas proposed a bill to improve the education in South Carolina.

The bill included a student bill of rights, 10% raises for teachers over the course of two years, and free college tuition for the children of those teachers in the stat’s worst-performing schools.

Both sides of the aisle praised the bill.
