Reading readiness discussed during education overhaul debate

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – State senators discussed the overhaul of the state’s education system Wednesday (3/13).

Members of the State Education Subcommittee met to discuss the state’s reading curriculum.

The Reading Readiness Program is part of the senate’s larger education reform bill.

Educators who were there say it is critical that reading skills be implemented at an early age.
