Three dead inside Georgia home, including gunman, after standoff

HENRY CO., G.A. (WOLO/WSB-TV) – Henry County police say three people, including the gunman, are dead this morning after a standoff lasted over 15 hours.

ABC affiliate WSB-TV says the victims included a pregnant woman and her 16-year-old son.

Investigators say the gunman barricaded himself in a home in Stockbridge on Thursday, with a teenager as a hostage, overnight into Friday morning.

According to police, law enforcement entered the home around 3:30 a.m. today, where they found the three bodies.

Officers believe the suspect shot himself.

According to authorities, the suspect also shot two officers during the standoff, but they are expected to recover.

This case remains under investigation.
