One killed in weekend boating accident

Orangeburg, SC (WOLO)– Officials with the Department of Natural Resources say a boater was pronounced dead after an accident this weekend.

Officials say six people were on a pontoon boat on Lake Marion Saturday when waves caused their 32 foot boat to overturn.
Five were able to make it back to the surface, one was not.
Officials have not released the deceased boater’s identity.
Two dogs were also killed.
