Second victim dies in early morning shooting at McCary’s Bar & Grill

One killed and three injured after shooting on Bush River Road

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County deputies say two people have been killed after a shooting on Bush River Road.

Authorities say the incident happened around 2:25 a.m. at the McCary’s Bar & Grill.

According to Richland County Sheriff’s Department officials, at least two victims are suffering from injuries to the upper body, and have been taken to a local hospital.

According to investigators, witnesses say the suspected shooter was previously told he was no longer welcome at the business.

Authorities say on Thursday, the suspect returned with an acquaintance and was involved in a verbal dispute after being spotted by some staff members.

At some point, deputies say the suspect pulled out a pistol and started firing indiscriminately at the bar.

Officials say they’re looking for the suspect and to identify his acquaintance.

Investigators say it’s unclear if the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle or on foot.
