Update: Victim of fatal shooting on Patterson Road identified

(ABC Columbia/FILE) One man dead after fatal shooting on Patterson Road.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal shooting on Patterson Road.

Coroner Gary Watts says Michael Brice, 25, suffered injuries to his upper body and later died.

Columbia Police say the incident happened before 5 a.m. on September 6 on the 7300 block of Patterson Road, near Annie Burnside Elementary School.

Police are investigating this incident.
