Cosmetics recalled after FDA finds asbestos in test samples
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is urging consumers to stop using certain Beauty Plus Global cosmetics.
Beauty Plus Global voluntarily recalled some of the products for the make up line that tested positive for asbestos.
The products recalled include bronzer, shimmer bronzer, a beauty palette and matte blush.
The FDA says the finding was part of their ongoing investigation. The four items in the City Color collection are listed below.

- Beauty Plus Global Inc. City Color Shimmer Bronzer (Caramel) — SKU #849136017106, Lot No. 1612112/PD-840
The products are available at major retailers, including Amazon.com, Walmart and eBay. The FDA is asking anyone who purchased these cosmetic products tonstoo using them immediately.
According to the FDA, Asbestos contamination in makeup can lead to exposure to toxic asbestos fibers. Inhaling or ingesting these tiny fibers can lead to serious health conditions, including mesothelioma cancer, later in life.
