COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police say Elmwood Avenue is back open after an early morning collision.

Authorities say two vehicles collided after 4 a.m. at the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Main Street.

According to investigators, there are injuries reported in the incident and two people were taken to a local hospital.

Officials say Main Street between Elmwood and Calhoun is blocked until clean-up is complete.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
