Twitter will start deactivating accounts inactive for more than 6 months

(CNN) – Social media giant Twitter announced it will start getting rid of accounts that aren’t used.

Yesterday they announced that if if you haven’t logged on to Twitter in at least six months your account could get deleted.

Fortunately, users who regularly log on, but don’t tweet don’t have to worry about losing their access.

Twitter says purging the platform of inactive profiles will take time and not happen all at once.
