One person killed after hit and run on I-77 in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol says one person was killed after a hit and run on I-77 on Sunday.

Officials say it happened on I-77 north at mile marker 8 after 6 a.m.

According to troopers, the victim was fatally hit by the vehicle, and the suspect drove away from the scene.

Authorities say the vehicle is possibly red with damage on the front end.
