South Carolina sees decrease in unemployment claims this week

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, 4,933 people filed their initial claim for unemployment insurance last week. This is a decrease of 650 initial claims from the week prior.

Officials say since March, the total number of initial claims has risen to 744,576 in South Carolina.
