Sumter Police collecting non-perishable food for local food banks

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– You can donate to help out local food banks in Sumter today. The Sumter Police Department is hosting their “Be a Hero in the Pursuit to End Hunger” food drive.

Collection boxes for non-perishable food items will be at the Walmart on Broad Street. You can drop off items like canned goods, rice and juice boxes to help those in need this holiday season.
