DHEC: 2,208 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, 22 new deaths in SC

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control released the state’s latest coronavirus numbers as of Monday.

DHEC reports 2,208 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 22 additional deaths in South Carolina. This makes the total number of cases reported in the Palmetto State 277,563 with 4,804 total deaths.

According to DHEC, 8,139 test results from Monday were received, yielding a percent positive rate of 27.1%.
