DHEC reports 2,228 COVID-19 cases, 35 deaths Sunday

COLUMBIA (WOLO): Sunday, the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 2,228 new cases of COVID-19, and 35 new confirmed deaths.

South Carolina now has a total of 412,996 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. 6,849 South Carolinians have died.

DHEC reports of the 35,718 most recent tests taken, 8.8% were reported positive.
