Tax season starts this Friday

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The IRS says tax season will start this Friday. Officials say it was delayed due to tax law changes that provided a second round of stimulus payments and other benefits.

If you did not get your stimulus payment, the IRS says you can claim the recovery rebate credit on your taxes this year.

To speed up refunds, the IRS is urging you to file electronically with direct deposit. The deadline to file your taxes is April 15.
