The COVID-19 pandemic has kept many kids out of the dentist’s chair
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The COVID-19 pandemic is posing dental problems for kids across the country. The American Dental Association says nearly 40% of young patients have skipped or cancelled appointments due to their parents’ fear of catching the virus. Experts say the delays in care are leading to tooth decay and more cavities.
Dental care professionals want to remind both children and adults to ease up on sugary drinks, and to brush and floss your teeth twice a day.
