Pentagon: Roughly one out of three military service members turning down COVID-19 vaccine
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to the Pentagon, an estimated one out of three United States military service members eligible to get a coronavirus vaccination have turned it down. A Pentagon official shared the early estimate with the House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday.
Another Pentagon spokesman says the percentage mirrors the vaccine acceptance rate of the general U.S. population. He also said the Department of Defense has vaccinated more than 900,000 service members so far, and is nearing the one million mark.
