1,112 new cases of COVID-19, 18 new deaths in SC

COLUMBIA (WOLO): Saturday, The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,112 new cases of COVID-19 and 18 new deaths in South Carolina.

Since the pandemic began last March, the state has reported a total of 442,957 cases of the virus and 7,546.

DHEC also reported of the 33,499 most recent COVID-19 tests taken, 5% came back positive.
