DHEC reports 1,197 new cases of COVID-19, 35 deaths in SC Sunday

COLUMBIA (WOLO): Sunday, the Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,197 new cases of COVID-19 and 35 newly confirmed deaths in South Carolina.

The state now has seen a total of 444,207 cases since the pandemic began and 7,578 total deaths.

Of the 26,779 most recent tests taken, DHEC reported 7% of them came back positive.
