Sumter High School football coach passes away after battle with COVID-19

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to reports, Sumter High School Football Coach Ron McBride passed away on February 28, following a fight against COVID-19.

The Sumter High School Student Government Association expressed their condolences via Facebook on March 1,  a day after his passing.

McBride was 50-years-old.
