Camden man charged for possessing child sexual abuse material
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, a Camden man is facing charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Authorities say 30-year-old Robert Vause Tasney was arrested on Thursday and has been charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree and 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree. Officials say each count is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Investigators say they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, leading them to Tasney. Officials say Tasney possessed and distributed files of child sexual abuse material.
Authorities say Tasney was arrested by members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force with the Camden Police Department.
