Gamecock guard entering transfer portal

A Carolina guard entered the transfer portal, according to USC on Tuesday.

Gamecock sophomore Trae Hannibal intends to transfer from the program, becoming the first Gamecock this offseason to enter the portal.

The Hartsville High grad was a top 150 prospect in the Gamecocks 2019 recruiting class and averaged 6 points per game this season. He played in 46 games in two seasons, filling in at point guard for Seventh Woods and Jermaine Couisnard.

Hannibal’s news comes just two days after forward Keyshawn Bryant announced his intention to enter the NBA Draft without hiring an agent, giving him the opportunity to come back to USC next season.
