AG Alan Wilson and several lawmakers participate in 10th annual Children’s Advocacy Day

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Wednesday, Attorney General Alan Wilson and several state lawmakers took part in the 10th Annual Children’s Advocacy Day. Groups such as the Children’s Advocacy Centers, the Children’s Trust Program and Silent Tears help sponsor the day to bring child abuse to light.

The attorney general says child abuse is a crime that sometimes hides in plain sight, and that we all must be more vigilant to prevent the victimization of children.

Children’s Advocacy Centers in South Carolina provided services to over 10,000 children for allegations of child abuse just last year.
