COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Several elected officials are teaming up with MUSC Health to hold three vaccination clinics in northeast Richland County at the end of April.
The first event will be Tuesday, April 27 at Killian Park (1424 Marthan Road).
The next will be Wednesday, April 28 at North Springs Park (1320 Clemson Road).
The last will be Thursday, April 29 at Meadowlake Park (600 Beckman Road).
These events are made possible through the collaboration between State Senator John Scott, State Representative Kambrell Garvin, State Representative Chris Hart, State Representative Ivory Thigpen, Councilwoman Gretchen Barron, Councilwoman Jesica Mackey, Councilman Derrek Pugh and Councilman Overture Walker.
“It is important that anyone who wishes to get vaccinated has the opportunity,” Sen. Scott said. “These vaccination sites are crucial in our fight against COVID-19. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to get the vaccine in our community.”
Appointments are required and Richland County residenta can make their appointment at muschealth.org/covid-outreach.
“We must ensure that everyone has access to the COVID-19 vaccine,” Rep. Garvin said. “By offering multiple sites in Northeast Richland, we will expand access and get more shots in arms. The faster we get folks vaccinated, the faster we can return to normal.”
