Oldest living American and SC native passes away at age 116

CNN– America’s oldest living person who was also a Palmetto State native has died at the age of 116. Hester Ford passed away at her home in Charlotte, North Carolina over the weekend.

Ford’s family says the mother of twelve was born on August 15, 1904 in Lancaster, South Carolina.
