Midlands school employee calling it quits after winning $2 million playing the lottery

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– A Midlands school employee is quitting her job after winning $2 million playing the lottery. Officials say on April 21, the new millionaire had just gotten to work when she checked her Powerball ticket that had five matching numbers. Her winnings are doubled because she paid extra for the Powerplay.

The woman says she is going to miss her students but is excited to spend more time with her husband.

Rucker Feed & Seed LLC in Pelion is also getting $20,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
