SCHP: One person killed in early morning crash Saturday in Orangeburg County

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– South Carolina Highway Patrol says one person was killed in a crash early Saturday morning in Orangeburg County. Authorities say, around 2 a.m. on Cannon Bridge Road, the driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck ran off the road and struck a tree while traveling south.

Highway patrol says the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was the only person in the vehicle. Authorities are still investigating.
