38% of SC gas stations still experiencing outages, mostly along coast
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Parts of South Carolina are still seeing a shortage of gas from the Colonial Pipeline cyber attack. According to GasBuddy, 38% of gas stations are still experiencing fuel outages in the Palmetto State. Officials say the majority of those are on the coast in Myrtle Beach.
AAA says the average price for gas is $2.87 in South Carolina, while the national average is $3.04.
The Colonial Pipeline says it is fully operational, even after recovering from an internal server outage on Tuesday. Officials say it was not related to the cyber attack.
