SCDPS reports nine roadway deaths in SC this Memorial Day Weekend
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Public Safety says nine people died on state roads this Memorial Day Weekend. Officials say that brings the total number of South Carolina roadway deaths this year to 406 people so far. That’s 57 more deaths compared to 349 highway deaths during the same time period in 2020.
In comparison, 16 people were killed on South Carolina roadways during the Memorial Day holiday last year.
