Jim Carlen nominated for College Football Hall of Fame

Former South Carolina football coach Jim Carlen is nominated for the College Football Hall of Fame.

Carlen coached the Gamecocks from 1975 to 1981, winning 45 games in his seven seasons at the helm. He curently ranks third in the USC record booms for most wins by a head coach. Carlen also coached Heisman-winner George Rogers during the 1980 season.

The former Head Gamecock also served as the coach at West Virginia and Texas Tech, posting 13 winning seasons in 16 years.
