Richland County deputies arrest suspect they say shot two people Tuesday morning

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says they arrested a man who shot two people in the 4100 block of Shorecrest Drive. Authorities say the shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, and they arrested 42-year-old Christopher Glover Jr.when he returned to the scene about an hour later.

Deputies say they arrived on the scene to find a man and a woman both suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. According to investigators, Glover came to the home and started an altercation before he was kicked out. Officials say Glover forced his way back into the home, and the argument turned physical. Authorities say the woman tried to break up the fight, but Glover fired his gun, striking both her and the man.

According to authorities, Glover has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and burglary. He was taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center for booking.
