U.S. economy growing but at a slower rate than analysts predicted

CNN– The United States economy is growing. In the second quarter, it grew at an annual rate of 6.5%. That’s the fastest pace since last fall, but still slower than analysts expected.

The recovery was spurred by an increase in consumer spending and continued vaccination efforts which allowed Americans to take part in public life safely again. Economists, however, say momentum slowed down because of inflation.
