Richland County deputies investigating shooting on Wynette Way Saturday

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says they are investigating a shooting that took place at a Columbia home this weekend.

Around 4 p.m. on Saturday, deputies say they were called to a the 200 block of Wynette Way for reports of a person being shot. Once on the scene, authorities say they discovered a man outside who had been shot in the lower body. Investigators say the shooting took place after an argument turned violent.

Officials say the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
