Carolina for All and the Alliance for Retired Americans celebrate the 86th anniversary of Social Security

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Happy birthday to Social Security! This afternoon, Carolina for All and the Alliance for Retired Americans held a celebration for the 86th anniversary of Social Security. Organizers say the survival of Social Security is critical to future generations.

President Franklin Roosevelt established the Social Security program in 1935.
