CDC urging pregnant women to get vaccinated, after 22 die from COVID-19 in August

CNN– The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is urging pregnant women to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The urgent recommendation comes after the agency reported the highest number of pregnant women to die in a month.

22 pregnant women died from the infection in August. Vaccination rates are low among pregnant women, at only 31%.
