RCSD asking for held identifying suspect who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the community’s help identifying a suspect who robbed a convenience store on at gunpoint.
Investigators say the incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on October 11 at the Exxon convenience store in the 7000 block of Garners Ferry Road. Authorities say the suspect wore a grey and black hoodie and a face mask. According to investigators, the man went up to the counter as if he was buying drinks before he pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the clerks and demanded cash and cigarettes. Officials say the clerks put the items in the man’s bag who later exited out of the back of the store.
