Funeral arrangements announced for State Senator Hugh Leatherman

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Funeral services will take place later this week for State Senator Hugh Leatherman. A spokesperson for his office says the funeral will be held Friday at the Francis Marion Performing Arts Center in Florence.

Leatherman, who was widely considered the state’s most powerful lawmaker, died last Friday at the age of 90. He represented Florence in the Senate for 40 years and chaired the Senate Finance Committee.
