Riverbanks Zoo and Garden mourning the loss of tiger

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Some sad news to pass along from Riverbanks Zoo and Garden Tuesday evening.
A spokesperson for the zoo says it’s male tiger Vitali passed away after nine years at Riverbanks.
Zoo officials say Vitali was a tremendous ambassador for his species and amazing members and guests with his beauty, presence and massive size.
